Things to do in Slovakia
Bratislava - see great views from UFO (Nový Most)
The Novy Most in Bratislava resembles a UFO that has landed on an observation tower, of a suspension bridge, in the centre of the city. An elevator in one of the legs involved in taking you up to the restaurant where you can enjoy lunch or dinner, whilst looking out over and taking in the views of this ever changing city.
Bratislava - take a guided tour to the Old Town
There has been a settlement in the region of Bratislava for over 2,000 years and the architecture of the city, especially the Old Town reflects the changes over the years. Here there are many fine examples of 18th and 19th century buildings. One of the best ways to see what the Old Town has hidden to offer is to take part in a guided tour by a quaint, Presporacik-Oldtimer, which are small 6 and 2 seater old buses. Tours take place every day, and are available in over 10 languages.
Introduction of Slovakia
Slovakia, in central Europe, is a diverse country with lots to offer visitors. Tourists will find plenty of options here when it comes to hotels in Slovakia, with everything from hostels to chalets to choose from. Slovakia hotels can be found in many of the country’s medieval Baroque and Gothic towns. There are also a few hotels a little farther out towards some of the nine national parks here. For the biggest choice of hotels in Slovakia, however, head to the capital city of Bratislava. This large city is packed with beautifully restored Renaissance and Baroque churches as well as pretty cobbled streets, fountains and squares. Slovakia hotels within the city cater for all budgets and tastes. You will also find more castles per person here than anywhere else in the world, along with a thriving and fun folk culture. For a more relaxed stay, head to the east where you will find Kosice and Presov among the mountains.
