Bangalore, Indiranagar intro. Indiranagar is one of the quickest growing suburbs in Bangalore, India’s fastest growing city. Hotels in Bangalore Indiranagar rank among the most popular accommodations in the entire city because of Indiranagar’s convenient location just four kilometres east of MG Road, which happens to be one of the major commercial centres in this rapidly growing city, which is also known as Bengaluru. Most of the trees and other greenery which used to dominate the district’s landscape have been replaced by shopping centres, supermarkets, restaurants, apartment buildings, and company headquarters. One of the few places where trees still grow here are the lanes of its Defence Colony neighbourhood. Although the district is primarily a commercial and residential district whose visitors travel mainly for business, there are dozens of art galleries in this part of Bangalore, situated east of the city centre. Construction to more easily connect the area with the rest of Bangalore by metro began in July 2008.
