Mumbai Andheri West hotels map
Mumbai, Andheri West intro. Mumbai is truly one of the world's great cities, not least for the incredible range of cultural and historic attractions that can be found in this woefully busy city of more than 20 million people. Despite the oppressive, frenetic level of activity, the Western suburb of Andheri has become one of the places to be and entertain business in this vibrant city of commerce. Hotels in Andheri West are just a few hundred metres north of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, and National Highway 8 is just as easy to reach. Tourists will want to check out the ancient Mahakali Caves, which honour the Goddess Maha Kali. One of the most popular temples, the Vanchasiddhi temple, draws huge numbers of devotees paying homage to Lord Ganesh. The suburb of Goregaon, where many big Bollywood films are produced, is less than 10kms to the north. Getting there takes you past one of the last great green areas in Mumbai, the Picnic Spot, which is popular with joggers, families and other people seeking sanctuary amidst the daily hubbub.
