Navi Mumbai intro. The beautifully planned city of Navi, Mumbai, is not as visited as its twin city across the Thane Creek but is an excellent alternative for those wanting to avoid the hustle and bustle of the massive city. It is situated just northeast of Mumbai, within minutes of the new international airport. The city is connected to its larger counterpart by train and bus, and the Vashi-Mankhard Bridge allows for access by car and taxi. There are several shopping malls, restaurants and lovely parks here as well as a great selection of Navi hotels, with plans for many more in progress. Navi is surrounded by stunning natural scenery and is a great place to enjoy fresh air - something that is nearly impossible to do within Mumbai proper. Kharghar Hills is an ideal place for a morning or evening walk and Sarovar Vihar Garden boasts a picturesque view of the Arabian Sea.
