Nagoya Station intro. The world's largest train station by floor space is Nagoya Station, servicing more than one million passengers each year. The JR Central Towers rise up behind the station more than 50 stories, housing hotel rooms and office space. The station's central location makes it a starting point for exploring the many attractions here, such as Nagoya Castle and Nagoya Port Aquarium. There are several excellent museums in the city dedicated to the art and culture of the region as well as important industrial powers like Toyota. Great shopping can be found at Sakae and Osu Shopping Arcade, both of which are easily reached from the train station. Around the station there are a lot of cheap drinking bars and an exciting nightlife scene to go with them. Nagoya Station hotels are a good choice for visitors who want to stay right in the heart of the action. Plenty of places to eat, drink and shop can be found within walking distance of the trains.
