Pittsburgh, Green Tree intro. Green Tree, Pennsylvania is a sleepy suburb of Pittsburgh and a borough in Allegheny County, in the southwest of the mid-Atlantic state. The quality of life here is high and there are many governmental services. Several parks are in the town including Green Tree Park, which is home to Hemlock I & II ball fields, soccer fields, a leash-free dog park and a street hockey rink as well as a play area for children. The town puts on a lively annual Oktoberfest. A fine, well-lit walking track snakes from Aiken Fields, near Aiken Elementary School, through Hemlock Fields to Duquesne Ball Field. Among the other green spaces in town are Rook Park, Sodini Parklet, Wilson Park, Parkedge Park and Municipal Center Park. The town also has many organisations, such as a seniors' club, a gardeners' club, the GT Woman's Civic Club and the GT Historical Society. Guests who want to stay in a quieter place than Pittsburgh proper can take advantage of the quietude of Green Tree hotels.
