Saint Paul's Bay, Beach intro. Located on Malta's beautiful northeast coast, Saint Paul's Bay is the area's largest and most visited tourist destination. The population of this resort increases from around 14,000 people to roughly 60,000 during the peak holiday season between June and September. As in many seaside resorts, the town's main restaurant and nightlife spots are located along the seafront area, where there are also numerous Saint Paul's Bay Beach hotels, guest houses and self-catering apartments. The most recently built-up seaside area to cater for tourists is Qawra, where many shops and other tourist facilities are available. The area is excellent for water sports, with both swimming and snorkelling popular. Although the beach area consists mainly of rocks, it is suitable for sunbathing. There is a small beach located at the tip of Saint Paul's Bay, where diving schools provide scuba diving courses for complete beginners all the way through to advanced divers.
