Hue hotels map
Hue intro. Visitors who brave the notoriously changeable climate of the centrally-located Vietnamese city of Hue will be greeted by some of Vietnam's finest architecture, places to eat and historic buildings from the city's period as the nation's imperial capital. Most Hue hotels are found in Pham Ngu Lao. Like its larger Ho Chi Minh City counterpart, Pham Ngu Lao is among this historic city's main tourist magnets. The Perfume River runs through the city centre, with the north side containing most major attractions - none of which are more impressive than the Imperial Citadel complex. The citadel managed to survive major 1947 and 1968 bombings to become one of Vietnam's most peaceful places today. The Tombs of the Emperors, most of which date between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, can be found south of the city centre along the Perfume River. Among the most visit-worthy of the tombs are those of emperors Minh Mang, Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. Author:
