Levittown intro. Levittown is a planned community and census-designated place in Bucks County, in the Philadelphia metropolitan area of the US state of Pennsylvania. It is recognised as the largest suburb of the city of Philadelphia and has a population in the region of 55,000 people. This suburb lies roughly 10kms from central Philadelphia, which can be reached via Route 95. Nearby attractions include Sesame Place, a family theme park based around Sesame Street, and Van Sciver Lake, which is privately owned but offers good fishing facilities for members. Several Levittown hotels are located to the north and the south of the suburb, and provide comfortable bases for visitors to Philadelphia. One of the most popular events which takes place in Levittown is the Bucks County St Patrick's Day Parade, which has been going for more than 20 years, starting at St Joseph the Worker Church and proceeding for three kilometres to Conwell-Egan Catholic High School along New Falls Road.
