Bradenton intro. Bradenton is a city situated between Tampa and Sarasota on the Gulf coast of Florida. The local economy is based on fruit growing and tourism and the hotels in Bradenton certainly do their bit to help the latter. Like many of the cities in Florida, hotels in Bradenton provide access to fantastic beaches where you are likely to spend a considerable amount of time whether sunbathing, swimming, enjoying the surf or riding a jet ski. Most tourists are attracted to the Bradenton hotels to the west of the city where the beaches are and the popular Downtown area with its lively nightlife. Just south of there is the Village of the Arts where local artists are permitted to work from home giving visitors a wide range of galleries to see. This is also where you can visit one of Bradenton’s most famous residents, Snooty the Manatee who lives in the South Florida Museum.
