McDonough hotels map
McDonough intro. Mcdonough is a city in the state of Georgia, in the bottom eastern corner of the US. The I-75 motorway, which travels between Atlanta and Tampa, passes the western outskirts. The historic town square is in the heart of the city. In the vicinity of the square are Mcdonough hotels, antique and speciality shops as well as eateries serving fast food, and traditional restaurants. An additional choice of lodgings is adjacent to the I-75. Annual events in the region include the popular Geranium Festival. The properties provide a good base for daytrips to Atlanta, 25 miles north, or a little farther afield, Oconee National Forest. Atlanta attracts nearly one million foreign tourists every year and boasts the globe's biggest aquarium, Georgia Aquarium, and other myriad draws such as the World of Coca-Cola, museums, art galleries and Piedmont Park. This park is the venue for numerous annual events, and in the summer, live music. Oconee offers a full range of outdoor activities including hiking, fishing and boating.
