Holt hotels map
Holt intro. Just less than 10 miles from Cromer lies the peaceful market town of Holt. The town is located in Norfolk and its name is said to have derived from an Anglo-Saxon word for 'woodland'. The village is known for its wealth of Georgian style buildings, which were constructed after many of the town's medieval buildings were completely destroyed by fire in 1708. There are many Holt hotels situated within walking distance of these beautiful Georgian buildings which help to make the town an ideal destination for those who have an interest in architecture and history. Throughout the village are many points of interest for visitors to explore, like Byfords. This building is now used to home a deli, an upmarket bed and breakfast and a cafe, and is known to be one of the oldest buildings in the village, dating back to the 15th century. Holt Windmill also attracts architecture lovers in equal numbers. Outdoors gems such as the Country Park and Spout Hills, which spans to around 14 acres, offer opportunities for walks in the countryside. Author:
