Cardigan intro. Cardigan is a popular destination for tourists, as it is well located near to Snowdonia National Park and the long beaches of western Wales. It is a sleepy town, which has a handful of bed and breakfasts, guesthouses and small hotels. Being generally family run businesses, they provide comfortable bedrooms and a hearty breakfast in the morning. Attractions close to many hotels in Cardigan include Cardigan Castle, the Museum of Power and the David Beattie Etching Studio and Gallery. There is also an arts venue called Theatre Mwldan in the centre of the town. Pubs and small cafes offer visitors a place to eat and relax. Many visitors tend to be ramblers or mountain bikers, although some simply come here for a retreat from city life. Some places to stay have views of the coast as well as the mountains of Snowdonia, offering a fantastic chance to see wildlife.
