Buzau intro. Buzau proudly sits as the capital of the Buzau County in Romania's Wallachia region, which is one of the country's most historic places. It sits on the banks of the Buzau River and is overlooked by the Carpathian Mountains. The Communal Palace is the town's major landmark and is featured on all kinds of local iconography and even national Romanian stamps. Buzau hotels try their best to offer visitors walking distance proximity to the Communal Palace and since the city is quite compact and flat, this is usually possible. Other hotels the area are located in the modest streets of the commercial town centre with is a lovely part of the city that mixes history with modernity and there are even several motorcycle shops in some of the main shopping strips. This estabishments are very busy during the Dragaica Festival, which is an annual midsummer fair that has been held for centuries.
