Dahab hotels map
Dahab intro. In the sunny southeast of Egypt sits this up-and-coming old port town called Dahub. Around this part of Egypt visitors can expect to find amazing diving spots, particularly just off the coastline from this charming town. For experienced divers who want a thrill, what is allegedly one of the world's most daring dives is located here - the Blue Hole. Those visitors who fancy escaping to cooler parts can make the two-hour trip to Mount Sinai. Many Dahab hotels are found located in the old part of the town called the Medina. Close to the Medina, the beaches are renowned for their exceptional windsurfing. Dahub also has another part called Masbet, which is popular with young solo travellers and so visitors who want a quiet holiday should avoid this area. This beautiful town is great for experiencing Egyptian culture and fine local food. The town is a popular launch pad for trips to nearby Petra, in Jordan, and Jerusalem, in Israel.
