Denham intro. Denham is a small town of around 600 inhabitants in Shark Bay World Heritage area on the Peron Peninsula's western coast. It is roughly eight hours' drive north of Perth and a popular little town among visitors who come to see this beautiful area of the country which features Francois Peron National Park. Tourism plays a key role in the town's economy and there are a number of Denham hotels for visitors to choose from, most of which are located by the sea. Other accommodation such as campsites and holiday cottages are also offered in the town. Denham has several restaurants and cafes to choose from after a day of taking in the natural surroundings. The beaches are clean, making them ideal for families, while the water offers excellent swimming conditions - if you can get the name Shark Bay out of your head! The waterfront is an attractive location, with a boat ramp and often an impressive range of yachts docked here.
