Prince Albert intro. Prince Albert is a big city in central southern Canada. It is on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River in the province of Saskatchewan. The region is set between forests, on its north side, and rolling prairie. It has a number of historic and cultural attractions. Most of the Prince Albert hotels are located on Second Avenue West, which runs down from the south bank of the river to Marquis Road. The lodgings are close to sit-down and fast food restaurants, shops, the Northern Lights Casino, the Historical Society Museum and Diefenbaker House. The district hosts numerous annual events including its Winter Festival, held in February. It has a thriving local music scene and also has venues that host touring bands. The establishments are good base for travelling to Prince Albert National Park. The park is full of unspoilt views, wildlife and lakes. Waskesiu Lake offers beaches, swimming and canoeing. Other park activities are hiking, fishing and bird watching. There are several golf courses both in and around the park.
