Cienfuegos hotels map
Cienfuegos intro. Cienfuegos is a cultural city on the south coast of Cuba, around 250kms from the island's capital, Havana. This area is packed with stunning neo-classical architecture and statues, gourmet restaurants and relaxing bars. There are quite a few hotels in Cienfuegos, most of which are located in the locality of the World Heritage designated city centre. Tourist attractions such as the grandiose Palacio de Valle, Cienfuegos Cathedral and the Arco de Triunfo are all within walking distance of the accommodations. The palace nowadays houses a chic eatery which is the venue for live salsa. The Provincial Museum has small collections of eclectic exhibits. Nearby, the city's botanical gardens boast diverse trees and flora. Soaring Cuban palms mark the gardens' approach road. Slightly south of the city centre the 18th century Jagua Fortress guards Cienfuegos Bay and the city's busy port of Jagua. An additional choice of establishments is located in well-preserved colonial edifices on the bay side.
