Bayahibe hotels map
Bayahibe intro. Bayahibe is a small holiday town on the Dominican Republic’s southeast coast. It is around 100kms east of the country’s capital Santo Domingo. There is a good choice of hotels in Bayahibe, most of which are located adjacent to the resort’s two beaches. The luxury resorts and hotels in Bayahibe all offer magnificent views of golden sands that slope down to calm turquoise seas. The two beaches are tranquil places that offer relaxation, swimming, snorkelling and sailing. Bayahibe hotels are a good base for taking daytrips to La Romana, Altos de Chavon and Saona Island. The island is part of the Eastern National Park and boasts stunning beaches, eclectic wildlife and countless indigenous starfish. Snorkelling in the shallow waters is the perfect way of viewing the starfish and other sea life. Altos de Chavon is a recreated 16th century Italian heritage village, and museum. Wonderful oil paintings can be purchased at handicraft shops dotted around the district.
