Port Vila - spend a few hours to explore the National Museum

Introduction of Vanuatu
Vanuatu is a leisurely place that prides itself on being laid back and stress-free. Once out of Port Vila, the pace slows down even more. A good place to find a bargain is Chinatown in Rue Carnot, selling everything from Japanese stereos to straw hats and camping gear. Northern Ambrym Island is particularly well-known for the artistry of its carvers. The most common subjects for carvings are images of ancestral figures.
