The centre was once a prison at a time when people really did suffer from going to jail with chains and manacles. It later became a Victorian library and still has books going back nearly 400 years. Toronto - take a trip up CN Tower and enjoy the view

Victoria - go whale watching
Whale watching is possible all year round and depending on the time of year dictates what you will see. There are about 90 resident Orcas around the Victoria area between April and October but the highlight of the year is between March and April when up to 20,000 Pacific gray whales pass by on their way to Alaska. Some can be seen from land but best watching is on one of het small boats in the region.
