Iguazu National Park Beach hotels map
Iguazu National Park, Beach intro. Magnificent Iguazu National Park lies inland from Brazil's coastline, with its breathtaking Iguazu Falls forming a border with neighbouring Argentina. Sub-tropical jungles surround the River Iguazu and its waterfalls, with limited accommodation in the actual park and adjacent to the falls. The entire area of the falls and their surroundings, in both countries, is designated a UNESCO World Heritage site and is one of the largest areas of forest preservation in South America. Iguazu Falls are one of the world's top visitor destinations, with many rating them more spectacular than Niagara Falls. Iguazu National Park Beach hotels can be found in Puerto Iguazu, the closest town to the park, set some 18kms from the park's boundaries. Although a luxury, the best way to see the full glory and grandeur of the falls is by a short plane trip, viewing the vast expanse of water thundering over the escarpment, which is surrounded by dense rainforest.
