Natal Via Costeira Beach hotels map
Natal, Via Costeira Beach intro. Bordering Praia dos Artistas to the north and Ponta Negra to the south, Via Costeira Beach is one of several gorgeous beaches in Brazil's Natal. This lengthy stretch of the Atlantic coast is dotted with some of the best Via Costeira Beach hotels in Natal. Most visitors to the beach set up for the day by renting a table and chairs, allowing them to snack from the cafes that back the beach and sunbathe looking out across the Atlantic. This stretch of beach is less developed than its neighbour to the south, where the mighty Morro do Careca sand dune is situated - a major attraction. A nice way to spend a day here is to hire a buggy and tour the area's beaches from north to south. Alternatively, take an evening boat cruise along the River Potengi, which borders downtown Natal to the north, and enjoy the sunset. Also to the north sits Forte dos Reis Magos fort, constructed in the late 1500s, while the nearby Camara Cascudo Museum offers insight into local culture and folklore.
