Farmingville hotels map
Farmingville intro. Farmingville is a hamlet of around 16,500 people in the New York town of Brookhaven. Bald Hill, said to be one of the highest points in the whole of Long Island, overlooks the hamlet. It once featured a ski centre, but nowadays it is home to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park. This park is dominated by a 30-metre high obelisk which has been painted in the colours of the US flag. Bald Hill is also home to Bald Hill Cultural Center. The centre manages the 15,000-capacity Brookhaven Amphitheater, which includes seating for at least 7,000 people. The amphitheatre has hosted world-famous acts such as Alice Cooper, Blondie and BB King. It also hosts popular, weekly family movie nights in July and August. To the right of the stage, visitors can see the old ski lodge, which is now home to an art gallery. The easiest way to reach Farmingville hotels is by driving here on the Long Island Expressway (I-495) and then taking North Ocean Avenue to the hamlet's centre. North Ocean Avenue is home to many of Farmingville's eateries, as is Horseblock Road, which runs from east to west.
