Indian Rocks Beach hotels map
Indian Rocks Beach intro. Located on Florida's west coast, halfway along the peninsula, Indian Rocks Beach is a barrier island with a stunning white, sandy strip of coastline that is popular with holidaymakers. On its western side, the sand hits the Gulf of Mexico, while the interior waterway features boat docks and waterfront cafes, bars and restaurants that have sprung up in the last century as the town has developed as a resort that mainly caters to inlanders. Unlike many beaches in the vicinity, Indian Rocks Beach features free parking, which makes it attractive for those coming from big cities close by, such as Tampa and St Petersburg. Indeed, tourism is by far the main industry here. There is a large shopping centre in the town, close to Shipwatch Yacht Club. Indian Rocks Beach hotels are lined up along Gulf Boulevard, which turns into Country Road 183, particularly at the northern and southern ends which connect to the mainland.
